At Franklin Gruppe our team has extensive experience in this field and we specialise in the production of 3D models for the production of both computer generated images (CGI) and animations alongside the other digital services which we offer to our clients.
A typical 3D Visualisation client will cover one of two main areas. Firstly, architectural visualisation and property animations are usually requested by architects, property developers and interior designers to visualise a space or a building prior to its construction. Secondly, product developers or marketers extensively use visualisation in the planning, development, concept and marketing of new products that they are looking to promote.
Having produced 100s of CGI's for clients over the years we tend to get involved in projects at two distinct stages, planning and/or marketing. Often architects work with our practice as they have completed the design phase and wish to obtain approval from their client or the planning authority. Being able to visualise the concept in a photo-real format allows both clients and planning officers a greater insight into the proposed design enabling them to make an informed decision as to its suitability.
Certain projects such as residential and commercial property development require promotion and/or marketing prior to the construction being completed to facilitate interest in the project. 3D Visualisation is a key piece of marketing material as most interested parties are not able to visualise how the project will appear once complete without reference images. Through the use of CGI, animation and 3D floor plans a potential purchaser has a far greater potential to buy in to a development. Have a look at the image below produced for a residential client looking to market a project in Ireland:

On larger commercial projects we are often asked to produce animation, we will come onto this in a further blog post but to give you preview, here is a completed animation that we produced for Eddie Stobart:
